April showers bring more than just May flowers – they also underscore the importance of site and water considerations. As we celebrate Earth Month, we're reminded of the crucial role sustainable design plays in preserving our planet's precious resources. That's why at Wight & Company Headquarters, we've integrated various sustainable features to manage stormwater effectively while enhancing the environment around us. From permeable pavers to bioswales and natural landscapes, our building stands as a testament to our commitment to resilient design. Take a stroll through our grounds, and you'll find no curbs to obstruct the flow of water, bioswales gently filtering runoff, and a lush tree-shaded patio providing a serene retreat. Our restored prairie, meticulously maintained through prescribed burns, and the winding walking trail offer employees and visitors alike a chance to connect with nature. But perhaps one of the most beloved features is our employee garden. 🌱 Yesterday was a special day as we planted seedlings, kicking off another season of growth and abundance. Our employees cherish the opportunity to get their hands dirty, cultivating fresh produce and fostering a sense of community along the way. Join us in celebrating sustainable practices and the beauty of nature as we sow the seeds of a brighter, greener future. #SustainableDesign #WaterManagement #EmployeeGarden
