Board of Directors / Trustees I know many of you sit on Boards, paid or unpaid. Do yourself and your organization a favor by following the concept of N.I.F.O. Noses in, fingers out. Your job as a Trustee / Director is to "smell" all the information, ask strategic, insightful questions. It is management's role to actually correct any issues. As hospitality professionals, we naturally tend to work to fix issues - when you're a Director, that is not your role. Tough to mature to the concept of NIFO, however, both you and your organization is better served by doing so. Happy Friday to all.

Happy Friday to all and to all my Accountants that are in busy season at the moment, I hope this video gives you encouragement as well as motivation to FINISH STRONG! In sports, the saying goes: “it’s not about how you start, it’s about how you finish”. In this video I’m playing safety “accountants”, I’m in position, I know my assignment, I’m thinking about any adjustments I may need to make once the play happens. All things that transfers over to your responsibilities as well! As you can see, the receiver “busy season” is pretty fast and I allowed him to get past me. HOWEVER, I trusted my skills, stayed under pressure, recovered and forced a tournover because I finished strong! Accountants, yes there will be ups and downs, even if you are well prepared for the season. It will never be pretty nor perfect, but as long as you adapt and have a strong finish to end the season and deliver to your clients…That 👏🏾 is 👏🏾 all 👏🏾 that 👏🏾 matters!
