Over the years, we've had a few different entrances for children & families coming in for Forensic Interviews, but we've always had a red door. For years, red doors have symbolized safe places for travelers or those fleeing dangerous situations. As we conclude #NationalForensicInterviewWeek, we commend the remarkable courage of each child who has entered through our red doors. Additionally, we celebrate the dedication of our Forensic Interviewers, both past and present, who tirelessly foster safe environments for children in our community affected by abuse. ❤️

Negative responses decrease the likelihood that victims will report the crime and reach out for help. This is why the message of Start by Believing is so vital ‒ outcomes will only change when survivors receive supportive responses to their disclosures. 🚨 Awareness Wednesday Alert Here's a shocking reality check: Did you know that children account for half of the victims of human trafficking? (Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia) It's a harrowing truth we can't afford to ignore. What's even more devastating is that the average age a young person gets trapped in this nightmare is just 12 years old. 💔 Let that sink in. Our children should be playing, learning, and dreaming—not falling prey to exploitation and abuse. This Awareness Wednesday, let's raise our voices, spread awareness, and take action to protect our most vulnerable. Together, we can make a difference and ensure every child has a future free from the horrors of trafficking. #EndHumanTrafficking #ProtectOurChildren #RaiseAwareness #BreakTheChains #JusticeForAll #FightForFreedom #HarbourHope #HarbourHopeInternational #AwarenessWednesday🌟
