The fourth and final post in our “Breathe the Mission into your Fundraising Event” Series. If you haven’t viewed our last three posts and videos, please go back and review to fully understand this specific post. We started with that special moment watching the children at Academy Prep Centers for Education Prep passionately saying that daily convocation in the school hall. We then saw the teachers, staff, and alumni leading the guests at the Gala event in reciting that convocation. And how about that impactful video that was shown before the Bid from the Heart (Paddle Raise)? Now it's GO time. Time to maximize the emotional impact and transform emotion into giving. At Auction Horizon, we believe everything that happens on the fundraising stage should be with the intent of maximizing fundraising potential and building giving momentum. The wording is intentional. Gestures are intentional. Energy is intentional. Emotion is intentional. We also know that time is of the essence when it comes to maximizing the money raised. For this reason, we work very closely with the client on timing and scripting. Adrian and Da’Shaun, the alumni featured in the impact video shared in yesterday’s post, were able to attend the event amid their busy schedules. The big question was: How do we incorporate these two gentlemen into the giving moment after the very impactful video without losing momentum and too much very precious fundraising time? The result can be seen in this video. Adrian and Da’Shaun walked onto that stage after the video and became part of the fundraising team. The positioning on stage was intentional. The scripting was intentional. They opened the door for Tarryn to introduce that first big level and maximize the power of the give at $25,000. The final part of breathing that Mission into the audience. The result? $125,000 raised on the first level of giving. A few hundred thousand dollars raised over the remaining levels. Working to take back what is rightfully mine. Getting a Court order to return to the property where our family our kids and I lived for years( from 2005 -October 26. 2023) I could not believe how it’s done, a bit unkind and so inhumane in the name of what? I ponder. The bank foreclose to collect a debt. The Broker with the Sheriff ‘s department evicted a residential tenant without a Court Order; with the locksmith they opened up your house in broad daylight. Pack your personal property including sensitive documents stuffed them in storage units forged your signature opening Account pay for the first month with their MasterCard quickly cancel so the following months you are responsible to pay approximately 600 for their doings if not your stuffs will be auction. I’m pretty sure this is not the first time they do it. They told the IRS they acquired an abandon house. But my name is on the deed they know it. I was in it paying the rent paying utility bills paying homeowners insurance paying for the solar panels I Lease from Tesla I don’t have enough income to pay for the property tax. State legislator has the tax offerred to investor at the end of the year. They are free to pay for your debts and lien on the house without your consent or signature or paperwork without your knowledge In two years if you don’t come up with the principal and interest repaying they have the right to foreclose your house to collect the debt plus Their Gain They sued the homeowner for default claiming themselves a plaintiff Call for harms. Demand judgment but you are the one who was evicted with the clothes on you back. To live in the subway Sleep under the sky Rest on the side street underneath somebody owning or be in unsafe unsanitary shelters condition neglected Unfit to live in We get sick and die. In the meantime they will fix up the house flip it to putting cosmetic new furnitures perhaps and sell it for a premium price line in the pocket with cash that don’t belong to them. The house already paid off the minute my mortgage approved many years ago. Is this the future of my children and their families? And I was charged with a crime & incarcerated? How did it happen that a Employment termination could end up in prison ? losing a job Slowly I go Bankrupt subject to Financial abuse From lack of income. My government could not support me the cost of leaving subjected me to be victimised by the Bank financial institution and their get rich schemes from the governmental agenda .

Evans I spent an hour today googling around 👖“what kind of trousers did men wear in the 20s?” ✂️“facial hair Jazz Age” 🎩Great Gatsby-style hats” I foraged around the house for a pocket watch I used to wear but has been AWOL since about 2003. (No luck yet). I chose the color “coffee” for my (vaguely) 20s-style vest, wavering only briefly before I hit “confirm order.”   The amazing Colvin House is helping us plan The Great Gimlet, which will start at 7 p.m. on Saturday, February 24. Mike Burke came up with the idea for this fundraiser four years ago, when we were trying to navigate our way through the early days of the pandemic. The concept is simple: we pair Chicago literature with cocktails. Our mixologist Ryan Prindle shows us how to make the upscale cocktails (we also send each guest a pdf cocktail booklet so you can make them again later). Somebody really smart—this year scholar Michelle Moore—tells us about the connections between Chicago literature and the drinks. The esteemed magician Robert Charles along with Rita, joins Mike in leading us through these intermissions.   Mostly, though, it’s just a party that raises money for the Chicago Literary Hall of Fame This is one of CLHOF’s two fundraisers for the year—most everything else we do is free and open to the public. Registration for this event is $125. Money raised goes towards our programming throughout the year. Always, people wait until the VERY last minute to commit.
