Here’s a few words; you didn’t ask for on this 4th July! Startups are very very hard. They take a long time, constant hard work, resilience, smarts, growth of skills & leadership, the right attitude, luck & more hard work. It’s a long game! So Play the long game. Don’t corrupt your integrity for perceived short term gains, lie & mislead for short term social validation or projections of wins without measurable substance. Remember you’re likely to fail (85% failure…. Sub 30% raise between rounds) so don’t be a toxic person along the journey; on top of it; because there’s more to life! Who you are, how you do things, how you treat employees, how you manage investors, how you treat business partners - matters! The level integrity, accountability, attitude with which you build your business, matters. Reminder that you’ll keep encountering the same people along the way as you grow, start winning, try to raise more funds, work at other startups, get promoted, hire more & build new companies. Furthermore, if you actually start winning, the circle at the top, is very very small! Youll come to lose way more over time, then you think you’re gaining short term! People will accept your failures, a failed company & your mistakes; when you function with good intention, integrity, accountability, healthy values, a respect for others & the process itself. Life isn’t forgiving, nor are people; for those on the other side of this. Play the long game! You’ll win more in accrual, over time, across a wider range & aspects of your life! Happy 4th July!

It's a lot of fun if you're with the right crew. It's even better when you find your market.
