Two dual-fuel LNG newbuilds for NYK Line, one PCTC and one bulk carrier, will be the first vessels to feature WinGD’s new efficiency enhancing core engine technology Variable Compression Ratio (VCR), delivering optimised combustion whichever fuel is being used. With emissions savings of 3% on LNG and 6% in diesel mode, compression without compromise offers enhanced operational flexbility for dual-fuel vessels.

The way forward to optimise also part load operation when reducing vessel speed. At WinGD Ltd. we see more and more interest also for #LNGC applications for reduced liquide fuel mode operation for the #XDF series. It’s not magic but physics at its best.

Espetacular Ricardo. Interessante a grande válvula solitária no cabeçote. Tem versão para tudo: diesel, GN, Metanol a Amônia embora parece que injeção piloto de diesel permanece para GN, metanol e amônia.
