Safe and supportive care should be available for every body, everywhere. 🏳️🌈 LGBTQIA+ individuals experience countless risk factors that increase the likelihood of developing an eating disorder. They also face many barriers to receiving treatment, with one of the major ones being a lack of culturally responsive therapists and healthcare providers. For an eating disorder program to truly be inclusive, it has to be more than a physically safe space—it must be an emotionally safe, respectful, compassionate, and affirming space that promotes healing for all. To all of my Asian women struggling with disordered eating in silence: You deserve to get to help. Solace Recovery is a culturally-informed eating disorder recovery coaching program created to support the unique challenges faced by AAPI and APIDA communities. No recovery is one-size-fits all. However, ED-related issues in these communities are often overshadowed by societal stigma and a lack of cultural understanding. These nuances are difficult to address without understanding the norms ingrained in this community of need. Solace Recovery aims to: build an actionable recovery plan, identify what truly works for your recovery, and empower you with clarity and confidence to reclaim what you've lost — all through a culturally sensitive, relevant, and compassionate lens of care.

If you're providing care for someone experiencing symptoms of PPD, encourage them to speak to their healthcare provider for more information.
