At last a financial article that calls a spade a spade. SPACs were both a fad and speculation which this article calls out. (Hint, Crypto is also a mix of fad and speculation!) We've called them out numerous times https://lnkd.in/eAsPtT6r   https://lnkd.in/eaa9f7Cj   https://lnkd.in/eU5x7zD4 https://lnkd.in/eQ7SE8gx but nothing so "matter of factly" and presented with a bow on top like the authors have done here. If there ever was a symptom of too much (free) money chasing too many unworthy/unwarranted speculations than SPACs, aside from Crypto, I haven't seen them since the Dot Com bubble. Undoubtedly something will come along again to turbo charge the investing public's imagination while simultaneously suspending its collective common sense and draining their wallets, but you don't have to be part of it even if everyone you know is!
