This policy ensures that all employees, particularly those with disabilities, receive the necessary support to perform their roles effectively. #TuesdayTips This is excellent from Paul Deemer 👌 Accessibility and inclusion are the most important A.I of all! If adjustments aren't made, this can mean that a building, activity, event, conference, public facility or workplace is not accessible for many disabled people. This is a great post and Paul has provided some helpful tips and infographics that you'll find in his original post, below, do check them out! I'd just like to add... Having supportive seating at regular intervals for those disabled people who aren't wheelchair users, but struggle with mobility, for example in corridors and large open spaces. Make sure that disabled access facilities aren't just designed for 8% of disabled people. The low sinks, for example, can cause serious problems & pain for other disabled people, having to bend to such low sinks. So having an easily adjustable sink means it's not a once size fits all. 8% of disabled people are wheelchair users. Whilst we must have wheelchair access, it should be noted that a 'one size fits all' approach, will, and does exclude access for non wheelchair using disabled people, and can, and does cause harm. Overall, a fantastic infographic & some great points to raise awareness 👏 #DisabilityInclusion #AccessibilityInTheWorkplace
