Brazil is by far the most innovative, dynamic, and exciting biologics market in the world. Several factors contribute to this. First, the country's tropical agriculture enables 2-4 crop cycles per year, which boosts potential output but also accelerates pest and disease resistance to agrichemical molecules. This makes Brazil the most aggressive crop protection battleground globally. As a result, bioprospection and scaling nature-based solutions (biologicals) are necessary to develop essential weapons for farmers' arsenals. Brazil's robust research centers, such as the 46 Embrapas and the prestigious Escola Superior de Agricultura "Luiz de Queiroz", have been pioneers in applying science throughout the full biologics product development cycle. Furthermore, Brazil's regulatory framework is among the most advanced and biologics-friendly in the world, allowing much-needed products to reach farms quickly and generating important feedback loops. Brazil's biological control programs in sugarcane were already the largest on the planet decades ago. In 2012-13, with the emergence of the incredibly resistant Helicoverpa Armigera, farmers accelerated the adoption of biologicals in row crops, propelling the current revolution. Biological inputs are a necessary pillar of high-productivity regenerative agriculture. While farmers in much of the developed world consider bio inputs as snake oil, Brazil's most sophisticated growers embrace them with a rigorous understanding of the science & mode of action. This is one reason why Brazil converges as the largest and most sustainable commodity surplus producer in the world.
