🤖 𝐀𝐝𝐨𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐈 𝐀𝐜𝐭 𝐛𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧 🤖 Yesterday, the Council of the European Union approved the AI Act. ❗ The AI Act introduces a number of new obligations for companies and organisations, both in the private and public sector. In particular, companies providing or deploying AI systems are affected. ❗ In the field of HR, many AI systems could be classified as high-risk AI systems. Consequently, companies deploying the AI system for certain HR purposes will be required to follow a strict set of obligations. 💵 ❌ Failure to comply may result in administrative fines of up to 15,000,000 EUR or 3% of the total annual worldwide revenue, whichever is higher. ❌ 💵 📝 The AI Act must now be published in the Official Journal of the EU and will enter into force 20 days after its publication.
