Having champions/advocates/supporters for any safety or wellbeing program is a way to turbocharge engagement and the enhance your ability to drive long term changes in behaviour. In the last couple of weeks, I got the opportunity to work with MOVE Champions from AGL and Weir Minerals. We dove into the data gained from their fellow colleagues about their body's aches and pain experience and extracted some valuable insights that will help us target interventions; we gave them a movement upgrade to increase their movement intelligence so they could have a positive impact on changing the way they worked ... and then (this is the fun-nest part of the day), we let them loose to come up with ideas to help Move 4 Life stick! I'm constantly impressed with their imagination and desire to impact change. Here's a couple of great ideas tabled ... * Integrating Move 4 Life into the Safety Conversation program * Linking in Move 4 Life with the onsite physio program * Move 4 Life floor stickers * Task analysis using our new MOVE_AI video capture risk assessment platform * MOVE messages on digital displays - screens, TVs etc. * Reintroduction of sports afternoons (so old school, but so good!) * Spinal decompression station What was more impressive to see was our rendition of Shark Tank where the MOVE Champions got to pitch their ideas to senior leader to see if they would "buy-in".
