In 3 years, we've gotten AMZ Prep to be one of the largest in the Amazon logistics space we play in. Along the way, I’ve learned what’s important as a founder. 1/ Provide vision As a founder, your vision is your guiding force. Communicate your company’s mission but be open to how it can evolve w/ your team. 2/ Hire talented people Making the right hires can be transformative. On the other side, hiring the wrong ones can run your biz into the ground. Make time for the interviews, it’s so critical. 3/ Build culture The values that shape your team is crucial to an organization Are you fostering an environment conducive to innovation? We are just working on building actual values and a strong mission for next year. We aren’t perfect, but are working on getting better. 4/ Keep Momentum I can’t emphasize how critical momentum is. It’s so hard to get, but once it's nailed - you’ll be strong for it. - What would you add here?

Have you ever considered closing your business to partner with someone else? A lot of people who responded to my post months ago said no because the thought of closing and partnering with someone doing the same thing was unthinkable. But now, let’s flip the question a bit. If you have a great idea and discover someone else is already further ahead with a similar concept, do you start from scratch, or do you offer your expertise to explore a partnership? I ask because I recently joined a group by invitation. Naturally, I wanted to understand the rules, and the first thing it says is to introduce yourself and tell everyone what you do. So, I did that and got this response. Here’s my thing - there are so many of us in the entrepreneurial space doing the same thing. This often spreads us thin and ends up helping no one. Instead of starting our own thing, we could collaborate. Think about it—using the same resources twice, facing the same issues multiple times, all because we want to go it alone instead of joining forces with someone who’s already put in the years perfecting their idea. At least once per quarter, twice already this quarter I have received messages from people wanting to do the same thing and wanted my advice on how to do it🤔 Collaboration over competition sounds great, but can we really live by it if we’re too busy trying to create something that’s already been refined by someone else🤷🏽♀️ For months now, I’ve been posting about hiring. What I didn’t mention explicitly is that some of these hires come with equity into Barter Black®—partnership opportunities! Why? Because I understand that 100% of zero is zero. And I know together, growth is inevitable. Do you?
