Thank you CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen) for presenting to our organization about "Building your Career in Accounting." We loved learning the important of creating a marketplace value and the benefits of starting your career in public accounting. Our biggest takeaways were: Vanessa Tello Rubio- "I loved learning more about the firm and gaining insights about public accounting. Some values about CLA that stood out to me were being inclusive and reliability. Additionally, I loved how CLA talked about the importance of marketing yourself in the workplace. This can be through obtaining a CPA, networking, involvement in the community, and even getting connected on LinkedIn. Thank you CLA for ensuring me that the difficulties of obtaining a CPA license will be worth it in the long run." Mario Umana -"The meeting with CLA provided me with insider information on how the company works. CLA's services and work culture are amazing and it is not surprising it is constantly growing. At the meeting, they discussed the importance of networking and how valuable it can be to have those connections. The biggest takeaway for me was pursuing the CPA exam after completing a master's degree can be very beneficial.
