A very interesting look at #airline #loyalty programs from Jay Sorensen. These rankings don't necessarily mean that fliers are more loyal to one airline or another but the top carriers here have done a better job of maximizing their partnerships - mostly with credit card companies. These miles originally started as a way to reward fliers after the deregulation of the industry. They were a way to set an airline apart, reward the flier (not the company booking the tickets) and drive sales as airlines started to look very similar. Today, the points and miles industry is often the most-profitable part of an airline. And this structure is no longer limited to the #aviation industry. Hotels, car rentals and countless other "lifestyle" brands outside of #travel have followed.

It's great to see Vietjet's Ancillary Revenue is about 19.6% of Revenue.
