“Long Shot for Our Students, But Worth a Try!” Not gonna lie, I usually dodge celebrity sightings like the plague (crowds! 😱😱), but met this super down-to-earth influencer yesterday while Raya shopping! Looks like we're on the same page - weekend shopping chaos is a hard pass! 😅. For Eid, he generously closed his factory and took all his employees shopping!. Who knew festive cheer could bring such a cool encounter? Anyway, two things happened: 1. Thank him for that killer award speech shoutout to education! "Finish your studies, first!" Preach! 2. PINTAR has acquired Kerja.io, Indonesia's leading marketplace for internships in the technology and financial services sectors, along with its core assets such as career preparation programs and its community of young and talented Indonesian professionals. Fresh out of high school, I started an internship at a fixed income securities brokerage because I couldn’t land a job. There one of the partners noticed my work ethic, resilience and accountability at clerical work and encouraged me to apply for licensure and university. That experience was transformative. It felt like being "discovered." And it set off my career. During my tenure from May 2024 to June 2024, I had the privilege of working concurrently in two dynamic departments: Sales and Digital Marketing. In the Sales department, I honed essential skills such as crafting compelling sales pitches, delivering impactful presentations, and mastering effective communication strategies while selling the product. I learned firsthand the importance of selling solutions rather than products, embodying the ethos of "sell the problem you solve, not the product." In today's interconnected business landscape, I deeply resonated with the philosophy of H2H (Human to Human) interactions, emphasizing genuine connections beyond traditional B2B or B2C frameworks, thanks to Dr. Samir Karkhanis. Thanks Louise 😃 I had the pleasure of actively participating in Group AMANA internship and #Emiratization program. There is a great talent within the Emirati youth, and with the right opportunities, their potential can truly shine, making the future look bright. Interacting with the new joiners and interns, I tried focusing on some "uncommon" skills. The incredibly powerful tool of #activelistening to understand the others, focusing on the present moment without distraction. I conducted specific training on this, and people loved it! How mastering own emotions and understanding those of the people around you through #emotionalintelligence can drive success for everyone involved. The importance of communication, building trust, and fostering relationships with active #teambuilding. Working together as a team is often more productive than sitting alone in front of your laptop all day. I emphasized the importance of #understandingcontracts, whether it's a tenancy agreement, a mortgage, a construction contract or the privacy policy of a new app. Knowing what rights and obligations you have is a crucial skill in any discipline. This experience made me realize that it is also critical to recognize the revolutionary force that Gen. Z brings to the workplace. Consider the attitude of new Olympic athletes, whether they win or not—they are generally humble, appreciative of the experience, and thankful for the opportunity. What are your thoughts about this?
