There is too much data, many different protocols, and various devices for the vehicle’s architecture to handle. Add to the mix that the entire approach to what a vehicle is – the purpose of a vehicle – is changing with SDVs and you have an urgent need to shift how we tackle in-vehicle networks. That shift requires a different breed of communication standards and one that’s specifically tailored to automotive use cases. That’s why the automotive industry has started moving to Ethernet as the backbone of high-speed and secure communication in the vehicle. V2X/V2V: Autotalks uses Rohde & Schwarz tester to verify 5G-V2X chipset Autotalks, a provider of #V2X communication solutions, has collaborated with Rohde & Schwarz (R&S) to verify the performance of its third-generation V2X #chipset. The Tekton3 and Secton3 chipsets were tested using the most recent 5G-V2X capability of the R&S CMP180 radio communication tester. Christoph Pointner, senior VP of mobile radio testers at R&S, said, “The close collaboration with pioneering V2X chipset vendor Autotalks helps to mutually validate our solutions, provide a trusted reference to our respective customers and accelerate the deployment of 5G-V2X by the entire ecosystem.” Amos Freund, VP of R&D at Autotalks, added, “Validation is a critical step in the product development cycle and a condition to an interoperable ecosystem.
