*** Appreciation Post *** Arshad Nadeem grabbed the first gold medal in the Men's Javelin throw for Pakistan in Paris Olympics 2024. He also made an Olympic record by throwing the javelin through 92.97 meters. This is Pakistan's first-ever individual Gold medal in history and its first gold medal in 40 years collectively. Congratulations to Arshad and Pakistan! I wanted to give my analysis of this win. Arshad's win has underlying lessons which are: ---> You can do anything you want ---> Lack of resources, is just an excuse we make ---> With the right passion and determination, the sky is the limit. ---> You'll have zero support in the process, but full support and appreciation after you win! ---> Self-motivation is all that you need ---> Invest in yourself, just like Arshad did with buying his own Javelin, and it will pay you off in ways you didn't even imagine. ---> Your family is the only support you need and will get in your journey Arshad's story is one of a kind. The guy had zero support from the authorities. He did not have any equipment like the other athletes. He used cement bags as an alternative to weights. He could not afford a javelin, it was his village that collectively contributed to getting him to Paris. In short, "When there is a will, there will always be a way". What's your excuse for not trying?

The fact is that they cannot explain how this team is so consistent! When Inzamam alleged ball tempering, what it conveyed was that he could not fathom how Arshdeep could get the ball to reverse swing. When experts from other countries alleged preferential treatment, they were actually looking for a reason to explain this dominance. When they said that the pitch favours India, be it SLOW pitch favouring spinners SEAMING pitch favouring seamers FLAT pitch favouring batsman, what they really meant was that we have mastered all conditions and are no more require slow wickets to win. That Team India has players that excel in all types of condition. I am not sure if I have ever enjoyed watching bowling so much as I did watching Bumrah. Phenomenal performance!
