To confirm and extend our commitment towards UNGC and its network, our colleagues Francisco and Roberto from Zobele Mexico (Hermosillo) attended the Business Meeting for Sustainability held in Mexico City. This United Nations Global Compact- Network Mexico appointment had been a valuable opportunity to generate alliances, learn about new ideas and expand our role in the field of Sustainability. Through keynote speeches and panel discussions, our colleagues had the chance to have a unique vision on how to implement the tools offered by being part of the world's largest sustainability network. Sustainability, Gender Equality, Ethics and Human Rights, Environment, Carbon Footprint, Living Wage and Sustainable Financial practices were the main topics of the two-day event.

The SDG Flag Day at dsm-firmenich is not just a one day celebration. It is a year-round commitment to make the world a better place for all. This is why we have decided to raise flag every single day from now on in several of our major sites around the world! Aiming to promote sustainable development across three dimensions: economic, social, and environmental, the SDGs are interconnected and mutually reinforcing, and require collaborative efforts from governments, businesses, civil society organizations, and individuals to achieve their targets by 2030. Unfortunately, at global level, only 18% of the SDGs are on track or have been achieved, while 15% of the goals are seeing a reversal in progress and over two-thirds of the goals are currently seeing “limited or no progress.” Despite this alarming development, the SDGs are still achievable if everyone at his own level makes the extra mile. This is what we are doing every day at dsm-firmenich. Proud to bring our contribution for the benefits of all. #sustainability #sdg #flag UN Global Compact Network Switzerland & Liechtenstein
