This #ConstructionSafetyWeek, we honor the commitment and hard work of our teams who prioritize safety above all. Safety is the cornerstone of our operations at the #ZOFS team, and we continuously strive to maintain and enhance safe practices in every project we undertake. In light of Construction Safety Week, we're sharing a snapshot from our recent visit to the Connecticut Department of Transportation during National Work Zone Awareness Week. Members from our #NewYork and #Connecticut offices came together to engage in discussions and demonstrations aimed at improving traffic safety measures in work zones — a critical aspect of our industry. Safety in construction is not just about compliance; it's about ensuring that every team member returns home safely every day. We are committed to fostering a culture where safety consciousness is second nature and deeply ingrained in our work ethic. We encourage everyone in the industry to join us in uplifting safety standards and honoring the professionals who make our environments safer. Let's continue to support and learn from one another, ensuring that safety remains our top priority. #civilengineers #nycconstruction #ctdot #constructionsafety

As we dive deeper into Safety Week, let's remind ourselves of a fundamental truth: awareness saves lives. Today, our focus is on being acutely aware of our surroundings, particularly in environments bustling with activity—like our construction sites. Construction sites are dynamic, with countless moving parts (literally!). From heavy machinery to busy crews, there's never a dull moment. That's why it's crucial to stay vigilant at all times. Our motto, "Go home every day the same way you arrived to work!" isn't just a catchy phrase—it's a commitment to each other's safety. It means taking every precaution to ensure that we leave work just as healthy and whole as we arrived. So today, let's recommit to being present and attentive on the job site. Keep your eyes and ears open, communicate clearly with your team, and always prioritize safety above all else. Together, let's ensure that every member of our team returns home safely, day after day. #YECSafetyWeek #YEC #ConstructionSafetyWeek https://lnkd.in/enSp8bDG

🚗 Road Safety Week is 19th - 25th November, and it is an extremely important week for those of us who spend time surveying or working on the highway, where everyone’s safety is paramount. 🛣 It is a period where we suggest you take time to reflect and consider how we can positively influence road users on the importance of safety. We can accomplish this by ensuring our own behaviour is safe and sub-contractors and other highway lighting practitioners. 📝 Stay safe, and if there is anything that raises safety concerns, please report it to the relevant authority. If you are unsure if something is safe, it likely isn’t. #roadsafetyweek #safetycampaign #speedawareness

Thank you for sharing, Dan Brodsky-Chenfeld! Yes, this message is valuable and important, in skydiving and in business! There is an amazing amount of overlap in the disciplines, and many life lessons for leadership in business. I was talking with one of my teammates exactly about your opening minutes of this message. It is an attention grabber, because everyone implicitly understands the risks involved in jumping. It is a pity that so many skydivers get the mindset "I'm good. I got this." As you stated, the moment you become complacent, you are in danger. In skydiving and in business, complacency is a red flag. In fact, in just about any endeavor I have tried, complacency kills. Think about it! This is a fundamental truth. #champion #challenges #complacency #awareness

I have spent many years and gained a lot of experience in all aspects of skydiving. During this time I've been quite out spoken about safety, self reliance and taking care of each other. Because of this the United States Parachute Association "USPA" asked me to do a video for their annual Safety Day. As it turns out it was very well received and watched at skydiving centers across the globe. Several skydiving friends who are professionals in a variety of non-skydiving fields told me the over all message in the video was so universal that they showed it their businesses, companies, communities and even families. I thought it worth sharing. Hope you get something worthwhile out of it. https://lnkd.in/gZFUagMa
