Last week at London Climate Action Week was an exciting week with lots of excellent meetings. In particular the International Energy Agency (IEA) meeting on Accelerating Clean Energy Investment in EMDEs hosted by IEA and EBRD. A critical lever in global decarbonisation, especially in fast-growing EMDE markets. Accelerating finance through a focus on concessional financing and reducing reduce cost of capital is needed to attract vital private capital from institutional investors.

Apart from being very topical, climate reporting is highly relevant for many SMEs. With new reporting standards effective from January 2024, this article is well worth a read.
