2023 in Review: Milestones, Memories, and Moments

Over the past 346 days since the start of 2023, we saw the explosive growth of generative AI, continued interest rate increases that helped drive down inflation, and Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour that became the highest-grossing in history. This year forced us to focus on what we know to be true: that remaining agile and resilient are key to success.

As the year now draws to a close, we wanted to take a moment to look back on our 2023.

We celebrated 25 years of NetSuite, unveiled exciting innovations and enhancements to the suite, met many of you at our incredible events around the world, and welcomed even more customers to our growing community. 

Below are some of the highlights from this past year. We thank you for being a part of it all!

2023 By the Numbers 🔢

We’re counting down the days until the new year AND counting up the numbers that defined 2023. This year, NetSuite processed more than 2.1 billion sales transactions. In the time it takes to read this newsletter, NetSuite will have recorded more than 44,000 new transactions. Every month, our customers process more than 1 billion transactions across the suite, and they have more than 1 million active users driving 1 trillion-plus daily searches.

We now count more than 37,000 customers with more than 324,000-plus subsidiaries across 219 countries, all supported by 32 data centers around the globe.

We’ve remained laser-focused on helping you succeed by delivering new and improved products and features across the suite.

⭐ In January, NetSuite 2023 Release 1 brought updates to financials, HR, supply chain management, and more. Many of you are greatly reducing the time and effort spent on billing with NetSuite AP Automation and Bill Capture, boosting employee happiness with SuitePeople Workforce Management, and smoothing out supply chains with updates to NetSuite Ship Central, NetSuite Warehouse Management System (WMS), and NetSuite Smart Count.

⭐ In July, NetSuite 2023 Release 2 marked the debut of NetSuite Account Reconciliation, which helps you automate and standardize the often-laborious reconciliation process. You are also increasing visibility into recurring revenue with the SaaS Metrics Dashboard and are making more informed decisions thanks to updates to NetSuite Analytics Warehouse.

⭐ In October, we unveiled exciting innovations at SuiteWorld to help you SuiteUP:

• The power of AI meets the power of the suite with our generative AI solution NetSuite Text Enhance, which will help boost the efficiency of your teams by giving them the power to create and review contextual and personalized content in seconds. 

• NetSuite Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) brings together a series of modules to help you make more informed financial decisions based on data from every part of your business. NetSuite EPM unifies planning and budgeting, financial close, and tax and narrative reporting processes by combining the power of new and existing NetSuite solutions.

Updates to NetSuite Analytics Warehouse, the AI-enabled cloud data warehouse and analytics system built for NetSuite, brought embedded analytics to user dashboards; more frequent refreshes of financials, sales, and inventory data; enhanced analysis of financial data to facilitate better performance; and more control over what each user can access, as well as simpler authentication with single sign-on.

The Magic of SuiteWorld ✨

We were busy in 2023, and we had a lot of fun! SuiteWorld brought together our customers, partners, and employees to learn, network, and explore how they can unlock even more value with the suite. Our customers were the true stars of the show and were highlighted at every turn. On the Expo floor, attendees could rock out with Guinness World Records, relax with Therabody, make a difference with Capital Area Food Bank, and much more!

⭐ We heard amazing keynotes from our founder and EVP Evan Goldberg on how we’re helping our customers, including MedSpeed and Terlato Wine Group, do more with less. And our SVP of Application Development Gary Wiessinger talked about the latest product innovations that maximize “suiteness” for our customers.

From Las Vegas to London to Sydney, ✈️ we took the show on the road!

🇬🇧 SuiteConnect London was a smashing success! Evan Goldberg and SVP of EMEA Nicky Tozer took the stage alongside some of our incredible customers including Charlotte Tilbury, Deliciously Ella, and Guinness World Records, to share how companies across the region can leverage the ever-evolving capabilities of the suite to grow their businesses.

🇦🇺 Next, we went down under for SuiteConnect Sydney! The event featured extraordinary customers including Speedmaster, Biome Australia, and Life Interiors and was filled with networking and learning. Evan Goldberg, ANZ General Manager Scott Wiltshire, and SVP of Customer Success David Rodman shared new products coming to the region and how customers will be able to take advantage to boost their profitability.
