AI Dominated Microsoft's News in 2023

The Microsoft ecosystem was a busy place in 2023.

In a retrospective episode of PartnerTalks, MSDynamicsWorld.com (MSDW) editor Jason Gumpert revisited some of last year’s top industry news stories. The biggest stories of them all? Jason points, perhaps unsurprisingly, to those involving AI.

You can read Jason’s recent article summarizing his 2023 reportage HERE.

You can watch PartnerTalks’ full interview with him below.

“Throughout the year, Copilot from Microsoft really started to make its way into all aspects of the Microsoft cloud,” Jason says. “You can’t get away from it if you pay attention to what Microsoft’s up to in the commercial space these days.”

Microsoft has injected multiple incarnations of its AI technologies into its Dynamics products and Power Platform. Jason predicts 2024 will be all about seeing which AI use cases stick.

“I think some (of the Copilot-based solutions) will be discarded pretty quickly if they fail to get traction,” Jason explains.

Despite the public’s general excitement about AI’s potential, some Copilot users say they remain concerned about privacy, security, and ROI.

While AI-centric headlines dominated the news stream in 2023, there was no shortage of other exciting Microsoft business news.

Check out Jason’s picks for the top industry news stories of 2023.
