Stellantis has just celebrated its first year of existence, with the announcement of record results and a daring long term strategy, and I my first year as part of the Alfa Romeo tribe. The creation of this Group was a significant moment in automotive history, and, for me personally, a dream come true. When Carlos Tavares asks you if you would like to lead a legend, believe me you do not need asking twice…

My father was an alfista and I was driven around in a 1966 Giulia as a child. I was destined to work for Alfa Romeo! The passion of our teams and the alfisti is incredible - there are more than 200 Alfa Romeo fan clubs around the world. 

Stellantis is made up of 14 iconic brands, present across 30 countries and 160 different nationalities. This represents the perfect context for Alfa Romeo on its exciting journey to becoming a truly global premium brand. Diversity powers us on our mission to build an exciting new future.

This first year has a been busy one! Stellantis recently announced net revenues up 14% and a net profit that has tripled year on year. At Alfa Romeo, we set about building a new, truly global team, consisting of a variety of skills and backgrounds, all fully committed with an authentic passion for this fantastic brand. Humility, enthusiasm, passion and pride at being part of Alfa Romeo. We set-up a new dedicated headquarters in Centro Stile, Turin, the perfect place to be inspired and share ideas, ready to write a new chapter of Alfa Romeo story together. 2021 also brought a renewed focus on the highest levels of quality for our products. 

Despite the complicated global context, it has been a strong year for Alfa Romeo. We started by making the brand profitable. By the end of the first half of 2021, Alfa Romeo was already proudly making a positive contribution to the Stellantis balance sheet. This target was achieved through efficient management of pricing power and cost efficiency, a first milestone on the way to building for the future in a credible way. On top of that, we built a product plan, that is now locked and established. Our 2021 results showed these measures are paying dividends: our deliveries of Stelvio and Giulia increased vs 2020 and our market share was up everywhere outside of China.

Last month we took our first step into this new future with the reveal of the Tonale, heralding a metamorphosis of the brand, a new era, not just of electrification, but of a revolution in the customer relationship and a leading role in the Group’s shift to becoming a sustainable mobility tech company. The Tonale boasts record-breaking technology, such as the NFT digital certificate based on Blockchain technology, a world exclusive. 

At Alfa Romeo, electrification and next-generation technology will always be at the service of the Brand’s DNA: noble Italian sportsmanship since 1910.

The automotive industry is undergoing a revolution and there are challenging times ahead. Being part of the Group is a huge advantage for Alfa Romeo given the opportunities it represents. Latest generation software and technology, such as the onboard Alexa voice assistant integration we will discover on the Tonale this month, is available to us thanks to the ground-breaking collaboration between Stellantis and Amazon. The electrification of our products will benefit enormous knowledge and expertise present in the Group. 

Alfa Romeo is embarking on an exhilarating journey into a new era, “La Metamorfosi” as we like to call it. As part of Stellantis, we are well equipped for success!

Sorry Mr. Imparato that I´m crashing your party, and playing the bad guy... but not the cars are the issue in your company, the issue lays in car service, repair and spare part service. So more after sales services and customer care. I´m owner of an Alfa Giulia QV and unfortunately I made really bad experiences with the car service and also with the attitude of the service employees to the car owners. It´s not about only selling cars in first row, it´s more to keep the customers satisfied with the bought product, that the customers are satisfied with service, repair etc. and last but not least, they decide to buy an Alfa Romeo again.

Dear santaromeo, the new giulia is so nice the performance specs are on another level, sadly there's none in the whole of East Africa, if only I woke up one day and found a red one. I would pioneer the brand in the streets of Nairobi.

Mr. Jean-Philippe Imparato , Congrats for the Great Success achieved with Tonale, which will turn into a considerable increase of Alfa Romeo sales. On the grounds of what you wrote I was astonished by two points: First of All the three basic points of Alfa Romeo People's Values: Humility, Enthusiasm and Passion, which you show with your Behaviour at Best. In addition to this, the clear Alfa Romeo Sporty soul since 1910. We have the same roots, Mr. Jean-Philippe Imparato : my father (and my best friend) gave me the Strong Passion for The Brand and its Core Values but, above all, a Deep Love for the Company (once GRUPPO FIAT) as a Whole. I grew up visiting the Alfa Romeo Museum since I was 7 and I have been doing my Best since I was a child to be a part of the Alfa Romeo Team. When I attended Tonale event, as well as each time I enter the Museo Storico Alfa Romeo or Stellantis &You Arese , I feel like being at home... because Home is where MY HEART IS!!!!! Congrats to Stellantis as a Whole and considering each brand separately , especially Jeep (stronger thanks a significant sales increase also in the USA, more and more modern about Hybrid vehicles, especially with plug-in models) and @FIAT , the Forerunner of EV👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
