The Break that Transformed

The Break that Transformed

I have been running a social media agency for almost a year now, and I recently decided to take a break from work for however long it takes for me to get back to 100% 🧠💪🏻

While I did have a few clients and a team to cater to, my work reduction was by almost 90%.

Here are the 3️⃣ reasons why I made this decision:

1️⃣ Mindset Shift: Running a service-based business means working with more human resources than software 👭

As much as I love working 24/7, dealing with crisis management as soon as I wake up in the morning and right before I go to bed had started leading to exhaustion and avoidance 😶

I began to dread waking up in the morning, resorted to using the "Do Not Disturb" mode on my phone, and called it work-life balance, rather than acknowledging the burnout. A mindset shift was much needed 🫶🏻

2️⃣ Realizing the Lifestyle I Want: I see people my age not being productive all day, knowing they'll work when it's time to. So, why shouldn't I? 🤔

I fully understood that, for me to have a cheerful day, I need to know that I have been productive ☀️

The idea of doing what everyone else is doing felt like an experiment I needed to undertake to understand how strong my desire is.

3️⃣ Time to "Not Think”: I was constantly problem-solving day and night and obsessing over the thought of what's next.

I had given in to the hustle culture and the feeling that time is running out, but it isn't. I needed to let time pass to be grateful for where I am and what the present day looks like ❤️

The good thing is, I feel like I'm back—back to building businesses with you. Subscribe to my newsletter to embark on this journey with me!
