Launch of LinkedIn collaborative articles

Collaborative articles are finally here! So, what exactly are they? Here’s everything you need to know. 👇

LinkedIn collaborative articles begin as AI-powered conversation starters. While they’re developed with our editorial team, they aren't fully complete without real perspectives from people like you. By adding and sharing your own ideas, examples, and personal experiences, you’ll help create a space for our community to come together and improve ideas around work questions we all face every day.

With collaborative articles, contributors can reach new audiences and give back by helping over 900 million members find answers to commonly asked questions. They’ll also be able to earn our new Community Top Voices badge which is granted when they become one of the most insightful contributors for a particular skill.

We're rolling out invites to experts on LinkedIn to be among the first to share knowledge in an all new way. While invites continue to roll-out for contribution access, all members on LinkedIn will be able to explore and find collaborative articles to browse through, as well as mark them as insightful here: LinkedIn Skill Pages: Overview | LinkedIn.

LinkedIn Podcast Academy

Have you ever thought about starting your own podcast? The best place to start is by getting inspiration from people who are doing it well.

To help podcasters go from broadcasters to community builders, we recently introduced The LinkedIn Podcast Academy to give creators helpful resources, opportunities, and further expand our commitment to audio. While this round of the pilot cohort has already been selected, we encourage you to listen to the podcasts in the program for inspiration.

Another great aspect of the program is that hosts and listeners can continue the conversation beyond the show, connecting with hosts and fellow fans directly on LinkedIn. If this sounds like something you’re into, just follow the Podcast hosts and tune in to see how other creators are bringing their podcasts to life.

Feature Highlights

Consider this recommended tool to engage your audience and grow your following.

Newsletters

Whether you post about a recurring topic or dive into a variety of subjects, Newsletters allow you to consistently grow your subscriber base and deeply connect with your audience.

You can even drive people to your Newsletter from other platforms like your social channels and website with a one-click subscribe URL and embeddable button. Just copy your customized link or embeddable button and paste it wherever you want to promote your Newsletter.

Check out this best-in-class example, “Inside the Creator Economy" by Jim Louderback and here’s why it works:

  • Add insightful commentary: Each Newsletter article you publish will automatically be a post on your feed. To maximize engagement, Jim Louderback gives his followers a summary of his article and encourages them to engage by putting their thoughts in the comments.
  • Post on a consistent schedule: He begins each edition with “This week” to let his audience know that they can expect to see something new every week.
  • Be timely & relevant: Each weekly newsletter edition focuses on news and trends within the creator economy, making it a timely topic that is relevant to his target audience.
  • Make it easy to read: The use of short paragraphs and clear headings makes it easy for readers to skim and digest.
  • Include consistent branding: “Inside the Creator Economy” maintains consistent branding elements within its header, such as: color scheme, typography, and logo. This all helps reinforce his brand identity and makes the newsletter easily recognizable.

Valuable points LinkedIn for Creators raised here about posting valuable content. I will also add it is important to sound like a real human. Some people mistake creating valuable content with using industry which makes you a thought leader. I have noticed some of the best creators are conversational but their content is so insightful. Authenticity and realness always WINs
