Deloitte @ Google Cloud Next = Innovation at Its Best

I just returned home from an exciting and energizing week at Google Cloud Next ’24 in Las Vegas, and I am filled with both gratitude for the experience with my colleagues and excitement for what’s to come in the world of cloud technology.  

Our week was filled to the brim with events, and here are some highlights that really stood out for me: 

During the keynote, several groundbreaking announcements were made that are set to catalyze the integration of AI. CEO Thomas Kurian showcased a series of pioneering developments, including the unveiling of Google Axion, their inaugural custom Arm-based CPU, an AI agent model designed to enhance enterprise-customer interactions, and the reinforcement of existing data functionalities like Big Query and AlloyDB. The solutions they presented re-affirmed Google Cloud’s unique position in the market and the ways in which the company brings true innovation to its enterprise customers. 

The week was also full of Deloitte-led speaking sessions, each one highlighting new technology and innovative ideas stemming from our alliance work. Deloitte’s very own Deborah Golden moderated a session with CME Group and Deloitte’s Pradeep Sandhu about CME’s successful cloud-powered digital and security transformation journey. Leaders from Broward County and Southern California Edison also sat down with Deloitte’s Anant Dinamani to reveal how the organizations partnered with Deloitte and Google Cloud to tap into geospatial and AI capabilities to improve infrastructure planning and monitoring. And last, but certainly not least, Deloitte’s Gabriel Abrantes spoke with Koenig & Bauer, the world’s oldest printing press manufacturer, about its cloud-based digital printing solution.  

I am especially excited to share that during my time at Next, Deloitte was awarded Google Cloud’s Partner of the Year award in five categories: Global Social Impact, Global Industry Solution- Services, Sales: North America, Services: EMEA, and Specialization: Security. These accolades embody the exceptional efforts of the whole team, demonstrating their commitment and dedication to our clients.  

The limitless potential that the future of cloud technology presents is always on my mind, and each time I return from a conference such as Google Next, I come home with new perspectives and takeaways that inspire me to rethink my own way of working. I know that our entire team is dedicated to forging a future that encapsulates creativity and innovation, and together we are exploring uncharted territory for our clients and their businesses.
