An Electrified F-150

While the new F-150 Lightning has finally been revealed, most loyal customers of the brand will feel right at home. Ford wanted the pick-up truck to be all-electric but still be familiar. While competition is expected to be fierce in the segment, American automakers are ready.

According to CNBC, “The F-150 Lightning is arguably the most important vehicle to the company in years. It is expected to safeguard the Ford F-Series’ decades-long sales leadership in the U.S. amid the industry’s expected shift to EVs.”

“The 2022 F-150 Lightning aims to drive electric vehicles into the heart of the U.S. car market, leading the next transportation revolution in the same way the company did more than a century ago when the Model T put the world on wheels as the first automobile an average worker could afford and use every day” according to MSN.

United States President Joe Biden takes a tour at the Ford Michigan plant, he got an early look at the now announced F-150 Lightning.

He had many good remarks towards Ford and see’s them as a leading American automaker to push electrification in America and one he can stand behind.
