Fasal & KVK-Baramati Collaborate to Revolutionize Sugarcane Farming with AI & IoT

Pune, Maharashtra, [June 2024] – Fasal - Grow More, Grow Better™ is proud to join forces with Agricultural Development Trust Baramati, KVK Baramati to transform sugarcane farming in Maharashtra! Driven by Hon. Sharad Pawar, this landmark collaboration aims to set unprecedented benchmarks in the sugarcane industry by implementing Fasal’s advanced IoT solution suite across thousands of sugarcane farmers in the coming days.

Fasal, a pioneer in precision farming having transformed over 75,000 acres of farms, has been entrusted by KVK Baramati to scale up the successful AI pilot conducted at the KVK in collaboration with University of Oxford and Microsoft. Its proprietary tech will be leveraged for effective use of artificial intelligence, applications of scientific methods for fertilizer and irrigation management, and technological assistance to prevent pests and disease outbreaks and reduce the long-term effects of climate change on crops.

Fasal’s globally renowned intelligence suite will also act as a catalyst in one of its kind Climate Resilient Agriculture Living Lab which will be established by the collaboration between Baramati Agricultural College (BAC) and Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences (VHL), Netherlands.
