FridayFive- BEST of the week gone by in AR/VR/MR/3D/AI & Games-32

Hello Everyone,

I ought to rename this newsletter's to Weekend-Five from Friday-Five, that way I won't have to apologize for the delay.

So let us begin without much ado,

It might begin to sound more like an evangelist for AR, but the truth of the matter is the AR scene is busy with new discoveries.

Like me, you might agree with the author of this article where he calls AR the practical cousin of virtual reality or #VR.

The post is short on details but it highlights how a Nestle, Electrolux, or Royal Phillips used AR to solve business challenges.

How did AR help these companies wade thru a challenge no one knew was coming? or Why did they choose AR over other technologies?

These use-cases are straight from the war trenches & we will be better prepared if we learn from them.

I am sure these stories will find their way into business history books in the immediate future.

One thing is for sure, the market adoption of #AR has gained traction more than other VR/MR technologies.

What do you think?

There is nothing like experiencing a live concert in the flesh, but for the time being it's prudent to stay away from crowds.

Musicians & artists are trying their level best to keep their fans cheered with live streams on YouTube & TikTok videos. Some have found their way to immersive technology & holding virtual concerts.

Earlier I had written about WAVE XR. Now they are back with another international superstar ‘The Weeknd’ on their virtual concert platform. ‘The Weeknd is debuting a brand new AR ‘Music Experience’ on Tik Tok.

For all you fans of ‘The Weeknd’, find a way to stall Trump before he decides to crash the Tik Tok party in the US.

It's rare to see a well researched content-heavy article with useful resources.

This long article by Lisa Buyer gives us a comprehensive list of use cases & even longer lists of apps. It will bring you up to level with the latest tools & tech for AR/VR/MR, Virtual humans & #AI.

The new #marketing #reality has changed & they might stay changed even after COVID.

Very often we keep seeing various versions of AR visiting cards floating all over the net. I have one too but my AR Card was made in-house. If you want to flaunt an app-less web-based AR visiting cards then you should check out 'Aircards'.

Their technology works without an app & comes with some new features.

This is why consumer AR is so exciting, somethings always brewing.

As of now, #Mobile AR is growing at a faster pace than VR & close to a billion consumers are experiencing some form of AR on their smartphones every day. Most of these consumers stay anchored to a handful of large platforms.

The choice is limited to Facebook Messenger, #Instagram, TikTok, and #Snapchat & each has a different approach to user engagement.

For those who love to dig into high-level data, you can check out this article by Tim Merel managing director of AR/VR/MR (XR) business intelligence company Digi-Capital.

Do you like this version of my newsletter. There is so much more to convey & a longer post makes that possible. I tested the new format for a month or so on our website before I introduced it to you guys on LinkedIn with Episode 31.

Have a good read & enjoy what remains of your weekend.

How can I help your plans for AR/VR tech this year ??? Check out my work & connect up with me.
