Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving

Bridgewater,

For all the chaos and confusion, challenging times also have a way of bringing clarity. This year, though our Thanksgiving celebrations may look different, we all have, perhaps more now than ever, so much to be grateful for.

Among other things, I am blessed by the privilege of working alongside you and the relationships I have with many of you, and I remain humbled by the strength and commitment of our community. You are all working long hours and coping with the stresses of the pandemic at home while going above and beyond to do what is best for our clients and the people they serve.

My gratitude also extends to your families and your loved ones. Never has the line between work and home been so blurred, and I am thankful for all of the people you share your lives with, who have likely had to sacrifice in some way or another as a result of your dedication and effort. Please take time this holiday week to take care of yourself and those around you. We can’t do our important and meaningful work without you.

One final thought — as we turn to give our thanks for one another, it’s also a time to pay it forward. I’m proud to share that this week the Lookout is providing full Thanksgiving dinners for two local partner shelters — Homes with Hope and Open Doors Shelter. Over 200 people will mark this holiday with a warm meal and I hope with full hearts too.

Happy Thanksgiving, and a sincere thank you for everything you do.

With gratitude,

David
