Intellias Career Hub: the place where you can manage your career, benefit packages, and even mental health   

Last year our project Career Hub received the highest award from HR Brand Ukraine. Intellias became a winner in the category of “best project for training and development of employees”. Career Hub allows our team independently manage their careers. 

In this article I will tell you why we created this platform and how it helps us to develop our people-centered approach. 

At Intellias, people are more important than processes, and processes keep evolving to meet people’s needs. Our colleagues have been managing their own work schedules for a long time. They don’t have to ask for their manager’s permission to go to the bank or visit their doctor. They can start and finish their working day whenever they want. So, we thought we should take this practice to another level and give them the opportunity to manage their careers the same as they manage their time.   

For this, we developed Career Hub, an internal platform that brings together multiple features. With just one click, specialists can launch all kinds of processes, starting from feedback and salary review and finishing with training and mentorship. The platform helps us fulfill a human-to-human approach in our working processes.

Apart from becoming a manifestation of our people-centered approach, the platform gives us a chance to collect various professional opportunities, which were previously scattered around the company. We’ve always had a lot of opportunities for our colleagues. But we have a big company, which is growing fast. We lacked a single platform that would unite everything we had to offer. Our colleagues noticed this, too. In twice yearly employee satisfaction surveys, they regularly mentioned the need for centralized, organized professional opportunities. That’s how the idea of a centralized, internal Career Hub started to take shape. 

Our Career Hub has five sections: Professional Growth, Total Rewards, Talent Mobility, Join Community, and My Services. Each of these sections presents opportunities and services that can spur employees’ professional development. Each section also has additional information about the company’s policies, guidelines, and other useful materials.

Of course, we had the above-mentioned services and opportunities long before creating the Career Hub. However, with this platform, they became not only centralized but  – more importantly – human-oriented. Now, it’s up to our colleagues to decide when to ask important career-related questions. For instance, before the launch of Career Hub, our specialists had to book a meeting with their manager to discuss their salary review; now all they have to do is click the “salary review” button.   

We’ve cut the distance between people and their professional aspirations, giving them access to every career opportunity Intellias has. And, since we work in a talent-driven market, we’ve also strengthened advantages for our business. Having motivated and appreciated teams, we make sure that their loyalty to Intellias stays strong and Intellias’ competitive position as the best IT employer remains immutable.   

Since the platform’s launch in September 2021, over 1600 specialists - 60% of the whole team have made requests for various career opportunities. And this number keeps on growing.
