Introducing The LinkedIn Workforce Spotlight
As an economist, I'm all about the data (surprise, surprise). That's because the more data you have, the more complete picture you have of an economy. That's largely what led me to LinkedIn. More than 400 million professionals, and nearly 40,000 companies, across the globe use LinkedIn. That gives us unique insight into labor markets.
We've been exploring various ways we can share that insight more broadly. So today I'm excited to introduce the LinkedIn Workforce Spotlight -- a monthly report that examines the latest labor statistics and LinkedIn workforce data to surface new insights about the regions, industries, and skills that are shaping the U.S. labor market. Spotlight is made possible by the Economic Graph, which is a digital map of the global economy.
This month's Spotlight focuses on Iowa since the Iowa caucuses are around the corner. Interested in learning how migration of talent into Iowa is influencing the state's political tilt, or which workforce skills are most prominent among Iowa's four largest metro areas? If so, check out this month's Spotlight. And feel free to leave a comment below if you have ideas on how we can improve next month's Spotlight.
