Joe Saucedo, Don't Miss the Mark!

Joe Saucedo, Don't Miss the Mark!

Joe Saucedo is an advocate, higher ed consultant, and dad to 3 boys. He said it early in our conversation: "Don't miss the mark." And he shared how fatherhood is a gift and he doesn't want the "miss the mark" or miss opportunities for building strong bonds with his sons that will help them to know he is there for them. It's an example his father set for him that has resonated over the ears.

Joe has pioneered Fathering Together's school-based strategy by hosting facilitated conversations with other dads at his sons's elementary school. They meet monthly to compare notes, brag a little, and support each other with challenges they face with their children's development. And for fun, they created an annual dads, donuts and paper airplanes where over 50 dads gather on a Saturday with their kids and see who can engineer the best paper airplane.
