Last year, in October, I had the honor and pleasure to be a Will County Democratic Latinx Caucus guest. They hosted a bilingual panel discussion on experiences of being Latinx and LGBTQ+. The event was in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month and LGBTQ+ History Month.
Our goal was that the discussions would help educate, inspire and motivate others (rather allies or other LGBTQ+ members) to share their stories and learn more about how culture can impact our lives.
