I don't need to remind you, but the world as we knew it changed for us on March 17, 2020.

We all had to make adjustments and adapt our businesses to evolve for a new world amid a global pandemic.

But one of the industries hit the hardest and closest to my heart is the hospitality industry.

Despite the trials, where one door closes, another opens.

Over the past few years, I've had the pleasure of getting to know and befriend Jason Johnson, the founding member of HUBB Kitchens. 

After seeing the restaurant industry's struggle through the pandemic, Jason has taken his 16+ years of restaurant management working with successful brands such as Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, P.F. Chang’s China Bistro, and The Capital Grille to new heights founding HUBB Kitchens.

HUBB Kitchens is on a mission to cultivate culinary entrepreneurs as they formalize and grow their businesses by providing professionally managed, easily accessible, and affordable commercial kitchen space, industry-specific technical assistance, and access to market opportunities.

As someone who has seen many trends come and go in hospitality, I believe in the ghost kitchen model and what it means for consumers and entrepreneurs alike.

HUBB Kitchens is creating a platform for enabling the next generation of food and beverage entrepreneurs through Ghost Kitchens across the Triangle, including a marquee location in the RDU International Airport that has opened this year.

After seeing such success in Raleigh, they are branching out into other airports, as well. HUBB Kitchens is partnering with Reef Kitchens at the Washington Dulles International Airport to bring the travel hub its first Ghost Kitchen.
