Non Profit Accountant - Des Moines, Iowa

Do you love to chase the penny?? This organization can appreciate that attention to detail! Our non profit client is hiring an Accountant to be a huge in the organization in this newly created line of business.

This position will be responsible for the analysis of financial activity, transaction processing, account reconciliation, discrepancy investigation and resolution, and financial statement/journal entry preparation, Daily responsibility for: Deposit Preparation, Accounts Payable through check issuance, monitoring cash balances for sufficiency, Bank reconciliations, Monthly financial statement preparation and line item reconciliation of financial statements, navigate complex spreadsheets and reports generated from Accounting System and assist with budget preparation / monitoring process.

Successful candidate has a Bachelor’s Degree, Accounting Major and 6 month experience. This nonprofit organization would provide the opportunity to feel like you are making a difference in the human services space (with for profit entities within).
