There's an art to presenting yourself

One piece of paper can really change your life. I've talked to hundreds of recruiters, hundreds of students, and I follow the latest about resume best practices. I will help you proofread, redesign, and rewrite your resume so you will get more interviews than you ever imagined.

No matter how introverted or inexperienced you are, you can still rock the career fair. I'm one of those weirdos whose favorite day of the year was the engineering career fair, but by being that way, I've learned a thing or two about how to research, approach, and follow up with companies and schedule interviews the day of the fair. 

Once you have the interview, I am down to help you figure out what to say and how to convey your passions and dreams to employers effectively. If you can get the person doing the interview excited about what YOU are excited about and show them how it fits with their company, consider yourself hired. Interviewing, for better or worse, is 95% being able to connect with people and seeing if you and the company fit well together. Don't let poor communication get in the way, the skills I'll teach you will be useful for the rest of your life, not just during the interview too.

Oh, and those crazy intense technical interviews? I got a few tips for those too.

My Experiences

I'm an award-winning public speaker and entrepreneur who is passionate about software and helping people out.  I've gone from small Iowa companies to Microsoft, Boeing, Amazon, and the MathWorks all without any experience prior to college. I've been very involved with career services at my university for a number of years, being the student co-chair of the engineering career fair as well as serving on the committee two other times. I've given classroom presentations, workshops, and more about how to make the most of the career fair and in your job process overall.
