Okay, maybe I am a little crazy... but so far Networking is paying off!!!

This week was full of great meetings. Here's who I met with this week: Stephane Lamarre , Cynthia Schauer , Santiana Brace , Britt Pitcher , Ralph Chapman ...

You'll notice there are a lot fewer people this week, I thank Calendly for this big mess up, their scheduling tool is not great. 😉

This weekend my biggest two takeaways came from Ralph Chapman and Santiana Brace .

Ralph has been in HR executive search for the past few decades and has built his business the right way. He executes searches and then gets referrals. We discussed the HR hiring market which has not slowed down for him. We also discussed the joy of being able to bring family into the business - he's been able to bring his sons into the business and they are doing a great job.

Ralph was super humble and it was great connecting with someone that has built their own business. I hope to be there someday too.

The next conversation that stood out to me, was my chat with Santiana Brace . This is one for anyone that has aspirations to get into a technical position. She went from a customer service role into product management at a tech startup. It took her a number of years and taking some chances on herself and seizing upon open opportunities.

What I love most about her story is how she stuck with her company and is now the only product manager, so she is essentially running the product team.

I get so many people reaching out about how they can get started or transition into product management, well Santi proves that anything is possible if you are willing to learn and take chances.

I'm so excited for her and I was so impressed with how awesome of a conversation we had. It was a true networking call, I learned a ton!

Thank you to everyone that made these meetings happen and to the one person that totally forgot our call... It's all good, you'll now have to wait 3 months to meet again 😉
