Preligens provides field-proven AI analytics solutions for high-end imagery, full motion video and acoustic signals. The company develops complex algorithms and software to analyze and automatically detect and identify objects of military interest notably using commercial and government satellite images.

Safran is delighted to announce to be one of the leading aerospace companies to have joined the International Aerospace Environmental Group® (IAEG) Industry Voluntary Supplier ESG Assessment Initiative, powered by EcoVadis.

[📣 Press release] Safran launches Skyjacker counter-drone system

At Eurosatory 2024, Safran Electronics & Defense has announced the launch of its Skyjacker counter-drone solution. Skyjacker is an effective response to the growing threat posed by drones in the battlespace and at sensitive installations. Skyjacker’s strength lies in its unique spoofing capability: it alters the trajectory of a drone to neutralize the threat it represents by simulating the GNSS signals ensuring guidance towards its target. Coupled with radar detection and optronic identification, Skyjacker can efficiently defeat isolated drones and drone swarms in land and naval environments.

[📣 Press release] Safran and MTU Aero Engines create EURA joint venture to power the next generation of European military helicopters

Safran Helicopter Engines and MTU Aero Engines have signed the cooperation agreement to create the 50/50 joint venture EURA (derived from EUropean Military Rotorcraft Engine Alliance). This newly-created company will form the core of a larger program, which will collaborate with industrial and technological partners from several other European nations. With the creation of EURA, the two companies are taking a further important step towards the joint development of a new 100% European engine for the next generation of European military helicopters.

[🛩️ #TheFlightClub] Spotlight on 3D printing!

Bess, Sofia, Jade, Sam and Eliott, the Flight Club’s five aviation enthusiasts, meet to talk about 3D printing. Also known as additive manufacturing, 3D printing involves creating 3D models from computer-aided designs adding successive layers of materials.

How is this technology applied in the aviation industry? Specifically, how does Safran use additive manufacturing? And what are the benefits?

[🏆 Awards] And the winners of the Jean-Louis Gerondeau–Safran awards are… the Greyn and INEN Robotics projects!

Following the final stage of the Jean-Louis Gerondeau-Safran awards program, held June 17 at École Polytechnique’s entrepreneurship center, the top prize was awarded jointly to two projects: Greyn and INEN Robotics.

Greyn is an innovative solution aimed at improving concrete production processes to help reduce the material’s environmental footprint. INEN Robotics has devised the first-ever endoscopic robot to help make minimally invasive surgery for gastrointestinal cancer more widely available.
