My Abby experience & improving my LINKEDIN page
After going to an Absolutely Abby workshop I bought the books and the LinkedIn review. I enjoyed her workshop, She truly tells the absolute truth from the recruiters’ side. It was so refreshing and eye opening.
I had already learned what recruiters look for in a candidate… (passionate, confidant, punctual, shined shoes, well written resume with key words, a good handshake and a smile.) She reinforced this information and added a number of tips. My favorite was everyone has a different opinion, follow the ones that feel right to you.
What I wasn’t sure about was how recruiters LOOKED for and found candidates. This is where Abby made a difference; she shared some of the technical how-to information. Being pleased with the information from the workshop, I bought her books and the LinkedIn review.
Having worked hard to make my LinkedIn page professional and informative, which takes time and a lot of revisions, I felt good about my page. I thought it was well done since I had received compliments and LinkedIn labeled me an All-Star.
After I watched Abby’s video about LinkedIn and realized recruiters had a hard time finding me, I made changes. I send a message to Abby saying my page was ready for a review.
She quickly sent me a video review and to my relief it was pretty positive. All my hard work had paid off. She had some great suggestions and showed me a few hidden things. With these finishing touches I finally think my LinkedIn is the best it can be; at least for now. www.linkedin.com/in/idesign/
