Spring re-invents its spaces for the creator economy

In August 2021, Spring opened up SPACE NO. 1 our new San Francisco-based office and creative studio space which will not only welcome back its SF-based employees but also become a destination for the content creators on our platform to come and collaborate and be creative.

As companies are considering a return to the office post-pandemic we have been thinking about how to take a modern slant on what the future of work should look like. We came up with decentralized global spaces that maximize creativity. Complete with photography studios, retail Spaces, and recording studios that are all usable for Creators on the Spring platform. 

'Space no.1' located in the Dogpatch area of San Francisco, is the first Spring Space to open. We have plans to expand to major creator hubs across the globe in the next couple of years, taking a decentralized approach to our footprint not having one central headquarters but instead small, local creative spaces that uniquely allow for creators on its platform to have the ability to have a home to be creative.

From my perspective, it is important for us as a company to not just respond to the way we used to do things, but instead innovate and come up with a new approach to the workplace. We understood that with a huge growing creator class we needed to establish a space that our creators could collaborate with our team IRL.

Spring spaces are an extension of our online platform allowing people to build their own commerce businesses integrated into social platforms. In building these spaces, Spring is encouraging our team to work at home when doing individual tasks and to use the new spaces to come and be creative.
