Summer 2023 internship experience at Volvo Group

This summer I had the wonderful opportunity to intern at Volvo Group North America in Hagerstown, Maryland as a Business Control Intern. This experience helped me kickstart my corporate journey and gain valuable experience. A small brief about Volvo, it’s one of the leading manufacturers of trucks, buses, construction equipment, and marine and industrial engines which employs about 105,000 employees. It has production facilities in 18 countries. And also provides complete solutions for financing and service.

During my internship, I had the opportunity to be a part of multiple projects that helped me put my academic skills to practice. I mainly worked on the comprehensive analysis of the HPU which gave me hands-on experience on PowerBi and also enhanced my skills in advanced Excel.

I also had the opportunity to interact with versatile and knowledgeable professionals in the team. I’m incredibly grateful to Kunjan Tokekar, PMP for giving me this opportunity and being instrumental in shaping the foundation for my professional career. I’d also like to express my gratitude to Mariana Guillarducci Martins Ferreira, Chelsea Miller, Vamshi Singireddy, and Belen Evans, MBA who were supportive throughout my internship with their guidance and encouragement.

As I move ahead in my career with this enriching experience, I have with me a finer understanding of the skills required to apply in my future endeavors.
