Ask a Recruiter: How do I stand out in my interview?

We all know how stressful today’s job market is - it can seem like you’re getting lost in a sea of applicants and struggling to get noticed. There’s a lot of good advice out there, but when we asked Kathryn, Lead Recruiter, she said that one of the best things you can do is to give examples in your interview. You want to give specific examples from your previous roles and try your best to tie them in with the company you’re interviewing for. This will help show that you have done your research on the company and know what they do, but also that you can be successful in the role.

Remember: It’s not just about what you’ve done but how it connects to where you’re going.

Highlights from Pride Month 2024

Earlier this month, our Pride at Swoon DEI group hosted their 4th annual PrideFest, a day filled with joy, unity, and a celebration of diversity. Our Chicago office was graced by the presence of two local Chicago drag queens who brought their energy and talent to the stage for our Swooners both in person and live-streamed for our remote and satellite offices. Best of all, we’re proud to share that all proceeds from our PrideFest went towards supporting three of our community and charity partners: Brave Space Alliance (Chicago), The 519 (Toronto), and one•n•ten (Phoenix). Happy Pride Month!
