Track day in China

Track day in China

As a Motorsport enthusiast, I decided to share some good vibrations I'm experiencing here in East of China.

The question is, what kind of activities are proposed in China for track days lovers?

Here is the solution, the time Attack Race - A 1 day racing format ==> It includes practice the morning and race the afternoon. The cars you can meet are mainly "street legal upgraded" and the range begins from the small GTI to insane super cars.

How it works? Let’s take the example of the time attack race in Zhejiang Circuit (3 hours by car from Shanghai).

The morning you can enjoy 2 sessions of practice, around 1 hour driving in global. The afternoon it is more serious, only 4 laps, one to warm up the car, 2 for the chrono and 1 to cool the car. Cars take the start one by one that is quite a safe way. With this format, you must be fast and regular as you have only two laps to record your best time…

For the ones that are focusing on the trophy, no worries, there is different groups split by engine sizes.

This track is almost brand new and quite fast, most of the cars exceed 200km/ in the straight line. Regarding safety, the circuit got a FIA grade 2 homologation in 2016.

One of my experience, the last weekend was quite challenging ==> 1 daily car - 2 days - 2 locations - 2 races.

Outstanding results, 1st in Tianma Shanghai (my first time on this track) and 2nd in Zhejiang.

If I'm sharing this here this is of course because I'm proud of this accomplishment but also to promote this activity and why not find more foreigners on the competitor list at the next contest...

Cheers
