Week 16 - Rebuild & Renew

Week 16 - Rebuild & Renew

You may notice more energy with the season change.

April is often a season to rebuild and renew.

Whether it is your personal calendar, prioritizing your work/well-being needs, or even revisiting your professional growth plan, now is the time to rebuild and renew.

Recently I hit a threshold of personal and professional growth that reminded me that it is time to restructure, in order to scale the impact and income I desire to have.

Many would describe this as a reality check.

You see, when we are committed to a life of learning and growth, we will be given opportunities that challenge us, individually or organizationally.

I know many people, especially in tech, who are bracing for layoffs, trying to survive, and even look to pivot professionally.

Sometimes you can rebuild and renew in your current environment or workplace. Other times, you cannot.

Often when I meet with private clients looking to refresh their professional purpose or find a new job/career/calling, I see that it is their own behavior and limiting beliefs often in their way.

A perspective shift, an opportunity to rebuild and renew, can happen now.

Whether you're struggling in your role or to adjust to an environment, allow yourself time to pause, pull back, and be purposeful with how you spend your 40+ hours per week.

It may be time to outline how YOU want to spend your time. Where YOU can make the most impact. Or more importantly, how YOU can use this time to rebuild and renew. Remember your dream, identify your horizons, and be willing to change for the better. That is where professional and spiritual development collide. When who you are becoming meets the current opportunity to grow.

I believe in you. Trust yourself. It's time to rebuild and renew.

Define 1-3 actions or areas where you can rebuild and renew now.

For me, it looks like working out and being outdoors before signing on. It is to stop checking in with work so late and instead, set a sign off time and reflection moment. Lastly, it is to identify and make time for my own professional development and contribution through study, designing projects/programs with greater impact, and being the best value-add I can be to individuals and segments of the organization I support.

Real talk reminder - it all begins/ends with YOU. It's time to rebuild and renew.
