When "things" leave the lab...

The use of IoT in agriculture is a popular topic. However, moving from paper to the real world is often impossible to do just by staying behind a computer crunching numbers. After a year of design and development, the #man4health network of IoT devices is in the process of moving from the lab to its new home. More than two dozen custom-made "things" will be shortly deployed on an olive grove. The data generated by these nodes feed digital entities existing in a #Fiware ecosystem but, prior to that, conditions must be promoted to support RF communication. Besides "programming" and "simulation", other verbs must be used to make this happen. For example, cutting, sawing, welding, and screwing are actions required to transfer an idea into reality...
