The Winner's Startup Pitch

The Winner's Startup Pitch

Over the last 3 years, we've evaluated hundreds of startups and researched thousands that were funded before us and above our funding thresholds. Our goal was to identify key attributes of what makes a startup successful particularly during the "pitch." Now, we've decided to write a book on this. It is on Kickstarter because we want collaborators who buy into the concept, so check it out:

To make the long story short, we narrowed key attributes to the following 9:

  1. The Problem
  2. The Solution
  3. The Product
  4. Market Drivers
  5. Revenue Drivers
  6. Traction & Growth
  7. Competition
  8. Team
  9. Funding

We also have identified a number of risk attributes such as legal and regulatory risk, macroeconomic risk (interest rates, exchange rates, inflation, etc.), proximity to tech hubs and more.

These factors are not new to most of the people who had been evaluating startups for a long time. What's novel though is a methodology around how to rank these factors in order of importance. This weighting process is crucial because these attributes never carry the same level of importance.

We don't know right now how long this book is going to be, but we do know that it'll be straight to the point, free from all truisms. So we invite you to join this journey and support us on Kickstarter:
