The year of gratitude

Here we go to the next bunch of people that in a way or another shaped my life.

It was the year 2001 when I joined the Four Seaons Singapore. Not many people know that my interview process lasted nearly 12 hours.

After flying from Dubai and reaching the hotel in the early hours, I had just time to take a shower and get ready to meet the GM and RVP Neil Jacobs, and after having met practically everyone at the hotel, I ended the process once again with Neil. It was an exhausting experience yet, one that taught me the importance of the interview process itself. Neil Jacobs is an incredible leader (no wonder now he is the CEO of Six Senses), taught me resilience, know which battle to pick and the importance of connections.

During my time at the Four Seasons Singapore I met more amazing professionals, from Yong Pei, who taught me how to empower and trust people in order to give their best, to Celeste How, a great Dir of HR who taught me why to put people first, always.

I continue with Scott Taber, he showed me how to always look impeccable, organized and under control.

Daniel Simon taught me the importance to be with my team and not in a office, while Chris Norton taught me how to align a team towards a common goal and to always aim to be the best.

With this line up, I end my letter of gratitude to my past leaders and look forward to share the next one.
