The year of gratitude

I decided to make 2020 the year of gratitude. In the past 49 years of my life I have dreamed to travel the world and it has been a reality thanks to a number of people that contributed to my life.

I would like to begin with Francesco Zagari. One of the first entrepreneurs in my hometown Scilla (Italy) and the one who gave me the first chance to work in his bar as helper at the young age of 13.

After only three days I was sacked because I did not know how to hold a tray and broke so many glasses and bottles.

He paid my three days of work and told me ''Rocco you are a nice guy, but you cost me more than what I pay you. Learn how to hold a tray and come back''.

I left his bar sad but more motivated than before because I now knew what to learn in order to keep a job.

Fifteen years later, I returned to work for him again. There, I learned a lesson on honesty.
